Living on an
Island has it advantages (can’t name many except very few illegal aliens) and disadvantages
(can’t make it bigger).
On Oahu, there
are few East-West Routes from town (Honolulu). East: H1 which turns into Kalanianaole
Highway and on the west, there’s H1 and Kamehameha (Kam) highway which turns
into Farrington highway at the west end of Pearl City.
If there is
a accident on h1 in the following locations, the highways are blocked:
East Bound, Any
where.
West Bound,
Kam and Farrington become blocked. An
Extreme Example… The next morning,
there were cars littered all over the highway that had ran out of gas.
The idiot on
the radio was saying it’s “time to 86 the rail” and bullshit like this. Reality is, we can’t make the island bigger, we
can’t make the road ways bigger, we can’t ban cars, and adding more buses will
only fuck traffic up more.
Seriously, several
years ago the bus went on strike and the traffic flowed smother. The bus fucks up two lane roads when it stops
for passengers and no one can pass.
The radio
personality was saying that it will cost 1 billion dollars to complete the rail
on Oahu, but doesn’t really examine the possibilities.
We can’t
make the road wider.
We can only
go up or down,
For down,
look at Seattle
at a cost of $455 million dollar for 1.3 mile, we can’t afford it. Also for street level rail running, this is worse
than The Bus.
The only
option is to up. And with no cars on the
up.
Light rail
works. And for the idiots that say it
doesn’t, have them explain Singapore.
The locals
are fucking idiots.
