Guam Update:

Due to typhoon Mangkhut, we been ordered to evacuate.  We all have reservations for Monday, 9/10.  Current storm track and conditions courtesy the JTWC:

Mangkhut’s current CPA (Closest Point of Approach) is 7 nm to Naval Station Guam on Tuesday, 9/11 at 1:00pm with 115 kts (132 mph) wind with gust to 140 kts (161 mph). And the typhoon is strengthening.  Going to be ugly.

We were going to ride it out but the command said “Get Home Now”.

So instead of typhoon Mangkhut, we get to deal with Hurricane Olivia which should downgrade to a tropical storm and should hit 9/13:

Than we should fly back to Guam on Friday 9/14 to pick up the pieces.

Fun Times (and Frequent Flyer Miles)!!!
